This   is one of the best explanations on the
nature of God that I have ever seen…
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair
cut and his beard trimmed. As  the barber began
to work, they began to have a good  conversation.
They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God,
the  barber said: ‘I don’t believe that God exists.’
‘Why do you say that?’ asked the customer.
‘Well, you just have to go out in the street to
realize that God doesn’t exist.

Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many

sick people? Would there be abandoned children?
If God existed, there would be neither
suffering nor pain.

I can’t imagine a loving God who would

allow all of these things.’

The customer thought for a moment, but

didn’t respond because he didn’t want to
start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer
left the  shop.
Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a
man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair
and an  untrimmed   beard.

He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer

turned back and entered the barbershop again
and he said to the barber:

‘You know what? Barbers do not exist.”How can you say that?’ asked the surprised

barber. ‘I am here, and I am a barber. And I
just worked on you!’
‘No!’ the customer exclaimed. ‘Barbers don’t
exist because if they did, there would be no
people with dirty long hair and untrimmed
beards, like that man outside.’
‘Ah, but barbers DO exist! That’s what happens
when  people do not come to me.’

‘Exactly!’ affirmed the customer. ‘That’s the

point! God, too, DOES exist! That’s what
happens when people do not go to Him and don’t
look to Him for help.
That’s why there’s so much pain and suffering in
the world.’

If  you think God does not exist, delete it!

      • I don’t care so much about the happiness part. I’m generally a very happy person, so I don’t need any gods for that. What I’m interested in is the part about being healthy all the time.

Have you contacted the American Medical Association with your groundbreaking discovery yet? They would be interested in knowing you’ve figured out the secret to everlasting health and, with that, life.

You could save a lot of lives if you take this revelation public. You’ll be a hero!

On a serious note, what you’re suggesting is that your god does not love or care about people who do not love him. I’ve read the Bible, and while I’m well aware that your god condones slavery and genocide, he is still “all loving.” Who would want to love a god who doesn’t love them back until then? You want my respect and my love? Earn it.

Also, how would you explain the children who die all the time because their parents have so much faith that they spend all their time loving and praying to god instead of taking their child to a hospital? Obviously they love god, yet the children still die and the parents still grieve. That’s neither happy nor healthy.

      • hey, i don’t care if you don’t believe to my god. it’s just that i posted this because i really love god. whatever you say about him is just your own opinion and i respect that. please do not be so judgmental about god because you really don’t know him well. please respect my faith to god as well as i respect to whoever you believe in. :))

  1. I was just trying to understand you and your line of thinking a little better. If it really is true that belief and trust in god means you will always be happy and healthy, then it would logically follow that Christians will never get sick or die.

Seeing as how that simply isn’t the case, I’m curious to know how you can justify your belief. Not your belief in god – I’m not questioning that – but your belief that a believer will always be happy and healthy.

    • i am not saying that if you have faith in god you won’t get sick or die. it is still how you take care of yourself about your health. some people who really believe in god has lasted their lives, like lucia she was a believer of god and lived his life so long. 🙂

      • Yes, some people who happen to believe in god also happen to live long lives. And then there are people who, strictly because of their belief in god, neglect to get their sick children proper care at a medical facility and prefer to pray instead, and eventually the child dies from a treatable affliction.

In your parable the customer juxtaposes the barber with god, saying that the man in the street only had dirty hair and a long beard because he failed to see the doctor – his (and your) logic was that people all over the world are sick, starving, and unhappy because they fail to have faith in god.

What this tells me is that if they did have faith in god, they would not be sick, starving, or unhappy. And if somebody is always in perfect health, that somebody will never die. Thereby making god the Elixir of Life, the Fountain of Youth, et cetera.

So yes, you are saying that if you have faith in god you won’t get sick or die. Faith in god is not required in order to take care of oneself. In fact, one may argue that a lack of faith in god (and a lack of belief in an afterlife) would encourage someone to take care of themselves even more; after all, they see this life as their one and only chance to be healthy and happy.
